Our Story

OUR LOVE STORY

Now, if you’d told us 10 years ago that a blind date would lead to this… we would have laughed. But somehow, through that leap of faith, we found each other.

They say opposites attract — and looking at us, that’s definitely true. A northern, rugby-loving girl meets a cockney football lad. One of us supports a team full of tackles and grit, while the other… well, let’s just say they have a habit of falling over when the wind blows.

We quickly discovered a shared love of exercise — whether it’s going for a run, hitting bootcamp, or heading out for a long walk (but not the kind that involves shopping!).

Music festivals have also become a big part of our story. There’s just something magical about getting lost in the crowd, under the lights, with the music carrying you away — and realising that the best part isn’t the headliner, it’s dancing next to your soulmate. And speaking of dancing… we even braved a strictly-style dance course. Let’s just say one of us ended up with bruised toes! But between the missteps, the toe-stomping, and the occasional “you’re going the wrong way,” we laughed through it all and somehow managed to tango together.

We also share a love of holidays. Whether it’s the big trips with family or the little getaways that turn into adventures of their own, we’ve learned that the destination matters far less than the company. That love for travelling together has grown into one of our favourite pastimes: caravanning. If you can survive reversing a caravan and putting up an awning in the pouring rain without falling out, you can survive pretty much anything. It’s become our little adventure on wheels.

And if you’re wondering who’s really in charge… let’s just say Carol may be small, but she’s got a manager’s strategy — while I’m just the IT support.

So yes, we met on a blind date. But everything since has been crystal clear. We know that our shared passions, laughter, and love will carry us through forever, and we can’t wait to keep adding to our story together.
